Who am I?

My name is Rosemary Maldonado. I am a Digital Media Production Major, but I am also an Artist. My journey as an artist began when I first got into the art of folding paper, Origami, back when I was in second grade. I have done Origami for 10 years, but in the process I have also discovered other ways to express myself through filmmaking, photography, drawing, and painting. Through pursuing my artistic hobbies, I have discovered that I wanted to make filmmaking a main part of my life. I hope to be able to make many films and tell many stories in the years to come. My ultimate dream is to create films that introduce new perspectives of life and shed light on important topics.

Why make a website?

To showcase a portfolio of my work. From photography, to video, and even my works of art, I plan to showcase my abilities to you, and inspire you to also do what you love the most. Though it is still under construction, please take a look around and see what’s already posted!

I am also fond of writing! In the future, I hope to publish my thoughts and opinions on films and drama series through conversational pieces of written reviews.

I am in my third year of college and have taken numerous film study classes. I have watched, analyzed and broken down many films from it’s cinematography, down to it’s scripts. I have written analytical pieces of writing for films beginning in my senior year of high school, and am inspired to continue that now after taking a “Writing for Media” course in my Junior year of college. I also love talking about dramas and films to my friends, so why not take it a step further? – I hope you enjoy my future pieces of writing from the perspective of a college student. I hope to continue to grow, learn and obtain more knowledge about film to be able to write more professional pieces of writing for all to enjoy. I hope that my film reviews not only serve as simply reviews, but also as recommendations to urge you to give them a watch.
